Project Zeltplock – Guest House as an Extension of the Taunusstein Hub

“Enlarge your house; build an addition. Spread out your home, and spare no expense! For you will soon be bursting at the seams.”
– Isaiah 54:2 (New Living Translation)

A Place to Live, Learn, and Work Together

Project Zeltplock– that’s what we’ve named our initiative. A motto for what God is doing: He is expanding our capacity and our space. Where we only see rubble and challenges, He brings hope and calls people and resources together to build something new.

“Make room for people!”

One night in 2022, God woke up a member of the board with this one clear sentence:
“Make room for people!”

Shortly afterward, a half-timbered house in need of renovation went up for sale – directly next to the existing buildings of our community in Taunusstein-Wehen. For us, it was clear: This is an open door.

What is the Vision?

After a full renovation, the house is intended to serve as a flexible guest and community house, providing space for:

  • Short-term accommodation for participants of our workshops and trainings

  • Mid-term staff for our agricultural project

  • Refugees in need of simple housing and community connection

  • A family apartment that can also be lived in long-term

  • … and people who want to share life with others

At a later stage, the plan is to provide a guest room for people in acute need, in cooperation with the city of Taunusstein.

Financial Miracles

Fabian und Tirza purchased the house and are coordinating the renovation. The project is entirely privately financed – mainly through interest-free loans and donations from friends, family, and members of the association.

  • €155,000 purchase price was raised by December 30, 2022 – at the very last minute.

  • €90,000 renovation costs have already been invested. Originally, not much more was expected – but by now we know the need is significantly higher, as a full core renovation became necessary.

  • With an additional €120,000, we will be able to complete the project.

Again and again, we’ve experienced miracles with staff, materials, and finances. For example, in January 2024, when a volunteer team came to continue building and €30,000 was still missing for necessary materials. The day before construction began, several supporters spontaneously pledged over €31,000

“I checked the account three times – and each time there was more in it. It felt as if God Himself was confirming with trumpets: I am with you.” – Fabian

Time and again we realize: This project is more than just a building project. It is a house that connects. Renovation continues in stages – with lots of personal effort and help from friends and Teams von Flashpoint Missions.

On Instagram you can follow the entire process.

And Now? What You Can Do

    1. Pray with us!

    • For wisdom, strength, and success during the construction phase

    • For protection and provision for the workers

    • For the people who will later live in the house

    2. Get involved!

We welcome practical help in the renovation – whether hands-on or organizational. Feel free to reach out and join in for a weekend or longer.

    3. Support financially

    • Around €120,000 are still needed until the house is fully completed.

    • Every contribution helps – and goes directly into the project.

Thank you for being part of this vision!
