Glory Flow Farm
A German-Ugandan family moves away—with two small children and a mission: create God's way, serve God's way, farm God's way...
What Has Happened So Far
A Vision Becomes Reality
In spring 2022, Dauglas and Melanie Wanjala felt a strong call to start a farm on an inherited family property in eastern Uganda.
At that time, they had no financial means at all. Yet they stepped out in faith—and soon witnessed amazing provision: funds came together for the first steps such as clearing the land, building shelters and a goat pen. The first mango trees were planted, animals purchased, and staff employed.
Two Years of Building From Afar
For more than two years, the Glory Flow Farm was managed from Germany while the family lived in Bad Soden am Taunus. The work brought great challenges—poisoned animals, hostility from neighboring villages, and health attacks against Dauglas.
And yet, right in the middle of these struggles, encouraging developments began to emerge: young people found work, a place for exchange, and spiritual inspiration on the farm. First income from agriculture became possible, and the vision kept growing.
The Step to Uganda
In summer 2024, the decision was made: the family would follow the call fully. Dauglas resigned from his job in Germany and went ahead to establish further structures. Since early 2025, the entire family has been living on-site in Uganda.
For Melanie and the children, their first visit to the farm—into which they had invested so much from afar—was an especially moving moment.
Economic Development & Spiritual Growth
One key focus is building sustainable sources of income:
Of the 500 chicks purchased, around 180 laying hens remain, currently producing about 50 eggs per day—with the goal of soon reaching 100–150 per day.
A second chicken coop was built through a generous donation. ♡
All animals have been vaccinated.
Feed for the animals is now being cultivated, and goat farming is being optimized.
Talks are underway about purchasing an adjacent plot of land to expand—potentially for more feed cultivation, a small restaurant, or guest lodging.
At the same time, the heart of the work remains the relational and spiritual ministry:
Young people help on the farm, participate in Bible Discovery Studies, and receive encouragement, guidance, and community. Partnerships with local churches are also beginning to grow.
