Global Nomads Germany

Meet Alice on her way to Germany ...

My name is Alice. I am a disciple of Jesus from Uganda, and in fall 2025 I came to Germany for a three months "stress test" to discern whether this is the ground where God is calling me to plant my life.

Is secular Europe really "hard ground"? I'd say the soil here is not barren; it is simply lonely. Spending three weeks in an eldercare home and Sundays with the homeless allowed me to build personal relationships with the forgotten. As I listened to their stories and prayed for them daily, the deep emptiness lodged in their hearts began to crack open, creating space for the hope of Jesus to enter.

Whether ministering at Jesus Freaks and Lichtblick, or serving in eldercare, the result was the same: By shifting our focus from simple preaching to intentional discipleship, I saw hearts open and felt a deep spiritual hunger here. My passion is to see people not just hear the Gospel, but to be transformed through life-on-life discipleship.

I have realized that the "Ugandan Key" truly fits the "German Lock." Many told me that I brought "the fire of Kampala" to a cold nation. I am committed to returning to Germany not just to visit, but to stay and build.

As I prepare for long-term service, I am focusing on learning the German language to build deep, lasting roots. My heart is to serve here as a full-time missionary, leading people to Jesus and grounding them in discipleship.

Would you stand with me in prayer and financially as I take this next step?
