New ways to reach Turks in Germany

“Go and make disciples of all nations.” – Matthew 28:19

When Jesus calls us as His followers, for us that means bringing the message of God’s Kingdom also to our Turkish neighbors—many of whom have been living in our community for years.

Recently, we often think back to the very first meeting here in Taunusstein, and we are deeply thankful and moved by what has developed over the past years. More than six years ago, a group of people gathered in our living room. They couldn’t have been more different, yet they shared one common desire: to see God at work among the Turkish people in Europe.

Most of these people were “expelled workers” from Turkey who had to find their footing again and longed for a community of like-minded believers. As they shared their stories with each other, it quickly became clear: God has His eyes on the Turks in Europe and in Turkey, and we are invited to join Him—pulling together and walking new paths.

Who is Isa / Jesus?

When Turks pursue this question and want to learn more about Isa than what the Qur’an provides, they should be able to read the Gospels (İncil). One pressing need we repeatedly encountered, however, was the lack of clear and accessible Turkish translations of the New Testament.

Now, thanks to our friends at Global Nomads International, a new translation of the İncil in modern Turkish has been completed. It fills this gap and is now spreading across Europe. Through our contact form, you can order copies of this Turkish New Testament.

From the very beginning, it was clear to us: we don’t just want to talk about God’s love—we want to live it out practically. That has led to projects like Lichtblick, new friendships with Turkish families, as well as pastoral and medical aid extending even into Turkey.

Continuing the “New Paths”

Every year, networking gatherings take place where we share current God-Stories and challenges, explore how we can support one another practically, and continue to ask questions like:

- How can we walk “new paths” to find Turkish people and houses of peace in our cities?

- What is God doing among the Turkish people, and how can we take part?

- How can we invite Turks in Europe into the Kingdom of God? What new partnerships are possible?

- What “new paths” are you already walking? What are you observing? What has God laid on your heart?
