Glory Flow Farm
A German-Ugandan family is moving out – with two small children and a mission: create God's way, serve God's way, farm God's way...
What has happened so far
A Vision Becomes Reality:
In the spring of 2022, Dauglas and Melanie Wanjala felt a strong impulse to establish a farm on an inherited family plot of land in eastern Uganda.
Although they had no financial resources at that time, they began to act on faith – and quickly witnessed an astonishing abundance of support : The necessary funds for the initial steps, such as clearing the land, building accommodations, and constructing a goat pen, were raised. The first mango trees were planted, animals were acquired, and staff were hired.
Two Years of Development from Afar:
For more than two years, Glory Flow Farm was managed from Germany while the family lived in Bad Soden am Taunus. Working on the farm presented significant challenges – poisoned animals, hostility from neighboring villages, and health-related attacks on Dauglas.
But in this very environment, encouraging developments are now emerging : Young people are finding work on the farm, space for exchange and spiritual inspiration, initial income from agriculture is becoming possible, and the vision continues to grow.
The move to Uganda:
In the summer of 2024, the decision was made: The family would follow their calling. Dauglas resigned from his job in Germany and traveled ahead to establish further infrastructure. Since the beginning of 2025, the entire family has been living there , and Dauglas is personally involved on the farm. For Melanie and the children, their first visit to the farm, into which they had invested so much from afar, was a particularly moving moment.
Economic Development & Spiritual Growth:
One focus is on building sustainable sources of income.
-
Of the 500 chicks acquired, about 180 remained as laying hens , which now lay around 50 eggs per day – with the aim of soon reaching 100–150 per day.
-
A second chicken coop was built thanks to a donation. ♡
-
All animals were vaccinated .
-
Feed is now being grown for the animals and goat farming is being optimized.
-
Discussions are underway regarding the purchase of an adjacent plot of land for expansion – for example, for more in-house feed production, a small restaurant, or a hotel offering.
At the same time, the core of the work remains interpersonal and spiritual ministry :
Young people help on the farm, participate in Bible Discovery Studies, and receive encouragement, guidance, and fellowship. Collaborations are also being established with local churches.
Current status (Spring 2025)
-
The Wanjala family now lives permanently in Uganda.
-
Chicken production is starting up, and the first revenues are flowing in.
-
The process of building a reliable farm team is underway.

What happens next?
-
Purchase of an adjacent plot of land to expand the farm (target: €9,300).
-
Strengthening the team – we are looking for reliable, motivated employees.
-
Spiritual ministry and discipleship through discovery Bible study and personal guidance.

-
Monthly financing for operating costs and investments.
Glory Flow Farm sees itself as a place of life-changing hope – through agriculture, education, community and lived faith.
“Gratitude that is not dependent on circumstances…” – that’s how the Wanjala family describes their attitude in everyday life. Their vision remains clear: to change and develop their environment through fruitful discipleship and sustainable agriculture .
